We’re looking for a Service Manager who will uphold that same standard—leading our service department with integrity, technical know-how, and a drive to deliver excellence on every job.

Job Summary

As a Service Manager, you will be the driving force behind our service department, ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service and support. You will lead a dynamic team of service technicians, oversee daily operations, and foster an environment of excellence and efficiency. Your expertise in heating & cooling diagnostics and repair will empower you to guide your team in delivering top-notch service, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving sales through effective upselling strategies.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and motivate a team of service technicians to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage customer interactions, provide exceptional service, and address any concerns or inquiries.
  • Utilize your mechanical knowledge to assist with oil, gas, & AC diagnostics, as well as repair, ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Implement effective upselling techniques to maximize revenue from services, including but not limited to preventive maintenance, high-efficiency upgrades, and service contracts.
  • Conduct regular staff training sessions on best practices and new technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed through company software, including job estimating and service writing documentation.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to promote system upgrades, enhancements, and overall company performance.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in a service-heavy environment with a strong background in management.
  • Proficient in oil, gas, & AC diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of Propane and AC is a huge plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Experience in upselling services while maintaining integrity in customer interactions.
  • Organizational skills are a must
  • Basic knowledge of routing travel
  • Solid understanding of cash handling procedures and COD within a service context.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to customers and team members alike.
  • Previous experience as a service technician is highly desirable.
